Sister’s Bond
We grew from different stages, loved in different phases but completed each other like one. DNA says not compatible yet still our lives are intertwined like the saga of American novels. We were the best. Our bond not known we shielded our friendship like a mother protects their child, secred. Protected each other like no other because if you messed with my little sister you will get more than a beat down you got wrote up and clowned! Trust and believe when I say I am not that one!
I protect my heart and what makes it beat and if you try to hurt that then well I must remind you who I am, see I am that over protective big sis that won’t let anyone glim my sister’s light not even myself and vise versa is how our bond became stronger than blood. The only thing that took her spotlight was death but even at the end our bond shined. darkness couldn’t dim her light.
And it’s only right that I protect that glow from higher up to showcase what she left behind. Her legacy of doing right. Her trail of passion and art spread throughout the states which reminds me I’m not the only one who cares that’s left here to remember a sister’s bond. Remembering stories and trips along with nights on the mic that I promise myself to never forget. The strongest bond next to a mother, is a life shared with someone other than drama. I got to see different phases of you through others and God knows how much I love your mother and mine felt relief after meeting you to the point she didn’t worry about me being alone because she knew I had you after her dying.
Sisters from different mothers, DNA couldn’t dictate a bond that strong. She was my right hand and I her left. always had each other even if it was in the back of our minds, we were there for each other, through sickness and health. Videos and voice clips bring you back to earth when your silence is too much to bear. But your love like your guidance hasn’t faded because you left so much behind to remind that a sister’s bond is forever and that’s no lie. Your big sis is forever grateful for the years we had on earth but still knowing our meet up with queso and chips sitting on top of clouds catching up is a meet up I can’t wait to have once more.
